Plans for the dining room | Moodboard

Pinterest is great for browsing décor inspiration but I wanted to create something to filter all my ideas onto one page. With the help of canva I'm creating a mood board for each room and wanted to share with you my ideas for the dining room!

Colour detail
I wanted the room to have a cosy, luxurious feel. As the dining room is attached to a sun room, the area get's a lot of light so I felt we could be a little brave with colour. I currently love Hunter Dunn by The Little Greene but also swayed by Studio Green by Farrow & Ball. We plan on purchasing some tester pots to help us decide!

I'm umming and arring whether to add panelling to one of the wall. I don't know if it will make the room too busy but I just love how 'grand' it makes a room.

Flooring
We are very lucky to have original parquet flooring running throughout the ground floor. Once we've removed the current carpet we will sand and stain the wooden flooring. I'm so excited!

Details
We need to remove the horrible electric heater and want to replace it with a simple cast iron fireplace. The dining room isn't huge so it will only be a small fireplace. We don't plan on using the room often but it will be nice to use when having guests round and of course at Christmas time.

The dark room will be off set with gold accessorises. I'm planning on adding some greenery in the corner of the room, on the mantle and by the bar cart.

Soft furnishing
We still haven't found a dining set we love but the image on the top right is GOALS. We are trawling Facebook marketplace for something we can upcycle. I love how the tan leather will compliment the dark green walls.

What do you think of the plans? Do you create moodboards?
